  Machine Translation, Inductive Logic and String Generalization

Due to extensive development and employment of communication technologies, the only remaining obstacle between the communitites is language difference. Machine Translation systems can be employed to provide complete interaction between communities. The bounding constraints of the rule based systems cause the trend to move among more Artificial Intelligence related example based hybrid solutions. Inductive Logic Programming can be used to infer translation rules in these systems. Over- generalization can be possible problem in the absence of negative examples. String Generalization idea solves this problem for predicates with string arguments, and can be extended to further domains.
